Following in true internet fashion, KITTEN SURPRISE is an ironically named shop run by marjorie woolard (me), specializing in one of a kind items that you never knew you needed.
Focusing on environmental and social causes, Kitten Surprise uses mostly recycled materials found and bought in the United States, unless otherwise noted. Our goal is to create fun, durable and unique items in the most sustainable and ethical way.
HOW ARE WE SUSTAINABLE?
-Less than 10% of our business is done using a car. All shipments are done by walking/bicycle/public transportation.
-Your item will come in a recycled package. There may be writing on it or some stickers.
-Bubble wrap/tissue paper is recycled or thrifted
-Our main focus is producing items using materials that have already been made. High quality sewing materials and fabrics are found in resale shops or donated by friends and family. We understand that there are some materials that need to be purchased, and in every listing we have a list of where our materials are from.
-We use biodegradable, chemical (?) free laundry detergent and handmade household cleaners. Whenever possible, we air-dry.
